Mr. David Boardman
B.Sc. (Hons), MIBiol., CBiol., PGCE Deputy Principal and IB Coordinator "I started teaching at John McGlashan College in 2007, having previously held the post of Head of Academic IT and Biology teacher at Malvern College in the UK. My current responsibilities include being an Assistant Principal, IB Diploma Programme Co-ordinator, Cambridge Examination Co-ordinator, Senior Dean, Head of Outdoor Education and Biology teacher. I also represent both the school and New Zealand, on the Standing Committee of the Association of Australasian International Baccalaureate Schools (AAIBS). A large part of my job is to look after the pastoral care of all students, along with Mr Garry. This balances well with the more academic side of my role, providing a broad view across all the students in the school. International Students bring a huge amount to any school, enabling a more authentic, dynamic and varied environment, where different perspectives and viewpoints can be raised and discussed. This adds to the classroom experience of all students, from all backgrounds and helps us to deliver a more genuine international education to our students." Email David |
